Aloo Tikki Recipe: This is a delicious recipe. In the monsoon or winter season, you can enjoy it with tea in the morning or evening breakfast. Actually, Aloo Tikki Recipe is such a recipe with which we can make many types of delicious things like chaat, veg burger, patties etc. Potato is such a vegetable from which we can make many types of delicious dishes. Aloo Tikki Recipe: It is served as a starter in parties with green chutney and tamarind chutney. So, let's know about the method of making it and the ingredients used in it. 


Ingredients

- 3 potatoes, boiled and grated

- 1 chilli, finely chopped

- 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

- ¼ teaspoon turmeric

- ½ teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder

- ½ teaspoon cumin powder

- ½ teaspoon dry mango powder

- ½ teaspoon chaat masala

- ½ teaspoon salt

- 2 teaspoons mint, chopped

- 2 teaspoons coriander, chopped

- 2 teaspoons corn flour

- Oil, for frying


Aloo Tikki Recipe at Home


Instructions

- Firstly, cook the potatoes for 4-5 whistles and drain the water when the pressure is released. Take 3 boiled and grated potatoes in a large mixing bowl.

- Now add 1 finely chopped chilli, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder and ½ teaspoon chilli powder to it.

- Also add ½ teaspoon cumin powder, ½ teaspoon dry mango powder, ½ teaspoon chaat masala and salt as per taste. After this, add 2 teaspoons of mint and 2 teaspoons of coriander.

- Now add 2 teaspoons of corn flour and mix well. Alternatively, use corn flour powder or rice flour, as it helps in absorbing moisture. Mix well to make a soft dough.

- Apply oil on hands and prepare ball-shaped tikkis. Make them round or flat as per your choice.

- Take a pan and apply light oil to it. Put as many tikkis as can fit in it. Now fry it till it becomes golden brown on both sides.

- You can also deep fry it. Take a pan, add oil to it and heat it well. Put the tikkis in it and deep fry. Fry till it becomes crispy on both sides. Keep in mind that the tikkis do not burn.

- After this, take a kitchen paper on a plate and place all the tikkis on it.

- Finally, eat the Aloo Tikki with green chutney, tamarind chutney or Aloo Tikki Chaat.


Note:

- Now to serve it, add whipped curd, sweet tamarind chutney, spicy green coriander chutney, roasted cumin powder, black salt and red chilli powder on top of the Aloo Tikki. Keep in mind that it will be better if you add sweet chutney and coriander chutney to the Aloo Tikki according to the taste of the person for whom you are making the Aloo Tikki. You can also eat it like Dahi Vada.

- You can also add arrowroot instead of corn flour. Adding this reduces the wetness of the potatoes. You can also eat crispy Aloo Tikki by deep-frying them.
