It uses ragi flour, sattu, jaggery, ghee, and nuts, making a healthy and delicious, sweet. Perfect for a healthy snack!


Ingredients:

1 cup ragi flour (millet flour)

1/2 cup sattu (roasted chickpea flour)

1/2 cup jaggery powder or grated jaggery

1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)

2–3 tablespoons chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios)

1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

2 tablespoons raisins (optional)


  Nutritious and Healthy Ragi Sattu Laddus 


Instructions:

Heat ghee in a pan over low heat. Add the chopped nuts and fry for 1–2 minutes, until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, add the ragi flour and fry over low heat for 5–6 minutes, until fragrant and slightly darker. Stir constantly to prevent burning. Add the sattu and fry for another 2-3 minutes.

Turn off the heat. Add the cardamom powder and roasted nuts (and raisins, if using).

Let the mixture cool slightly (warm, but not too much). Add the jaggery powder and mix well. The residual heat will help melt the jaggery and bind the mixture.

Apply ghee to your palms and form small laddus (balls) from the mixture.

Let the laddus cool completely and store them in an airtight container.


Tips:

If the mixture is too dry, adjust the amount of ghee.

Add more jaggery for a sweeter taste.

These laddus can be stored at room temperature for up to a week.
