Paneer Bhurji Recipe in Dhaba Style

Paneer Bhurji Recipe

Ingredients:

- 200 gms paneer (cottage cheese), chopped into pieces

- 1 medium onion, finely chopped

- 1 medium tomato, finely chopped

- 1-2 green chillies, chopped (adjust to taste)

- 1 inch ginger, grated

- 2-3 garlic cloves, finely chopped

- 2 tbsp oil or ghee

- 1 tsp cumin seeds

- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

- 1 tsp red chilli powder (adjust to taste)

- 1 tsp coriander powder

- Salt to taste

- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnishing)

- Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

1. In a large pan or kadhai, heat the oil or ghee on a medium flame.

2. Add the cumin seeds and let them crackle.

3. Add finely chopped onion and saute till it turns golden brown. Then add ginger and garlic and cook till it turns aromatic.

4. Add chopped tomatoes and green chilies. Cook till tomatoes turn soft and the oil starts separating from the mixture.

5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.

6. Slow the flame and add shredded paneer to the mixture. Mix the paneer well with the spices.

 7. Let it cook on a low flame for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. This allows the paneer to absorb the flavours.

8. Turn off the flame and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

9. Serve hot with chapatis, parathas, or naan, along with lemon wedges.
