Dahi Bhindi Recipe | Rajasthani Dahi Bhindi Recipe: How to Make Delicious and Healthy Dahi Bhindi Recipe


Most children like bhindi ki sabzi and whether you make just bhindi ki sabzi or potato bhindi ki sabzi, children eat both types of vegetables with great gusto. Similarly, today we have brought for you dahi wali bhindi ki sabzi which is also known as Rajasthani dahi bhindi ki sabzi. This dahi bhindi recipe is the easiest and takes less time to prepare and also requires less ingredients. How is this vegetable made with Indian spices, low fat curd and soft bhindi prepared. Today I will tell you. So without wasting time, let's know the ingredients and method of making it.


Ingredients

- 4 tbsp oil

- 15 bhindi, chopped

- 2 tbsp oil

- 1 tsp cumin seeds

- 1 tsp Kasuri Methi

- 1 bay leaf

- 2 cardamom seeds

- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

- ¼ tsp turmeric powder

- 1 tsp chili powder

- 1 tsp coriander powder

- ½ tsp cumin powder

- ¾ tsp garam masala

- 1½ cups yogurt, beaten

- Salt to taste

- 1/2 cup coriander leaves, finely chopped

Instructions


1. First, heat 2 tbsp oil in a large pan and fry the bhindi for 15 minutes. Fry till the color of the bhindi changes and its stickiness reduces. Keep the fried bhindi aside.

2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in the same pan and add 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp Kasuri Methi, 1 bay leaf, and 2 cardamom seeds. Sauté on a low flame till the spices turn aromatic.

3. Now add 1 finely chopped onion, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, and saute the onions till they turn golden brown.

4. Also, add ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp cumin powder, and ½ tsp garam masala. Sauté on a low flame till the spices turn aromatic.

5. Take 1½ cups curd, whisk it well, and then add it to the pan and cook on a low flame. Keep cooking till the oil starts separating from the mixture. Also, add fried ladyfinger and other salt as per your taste.

6. Mix well and adjust the consistency. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or till the flavours are absorbed well.

7. Now garnish it with 1/2 cup coriander leaves. Now your Rajasthani Dahi Bhindi ki Sabzi is ready to serve. 

Now, you can enjoy Dahi Bhindi with roti or rice!
