Easy to make Jalgaon Mawa Kulfi |
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Mawa:
In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the full-fat milk over a medium flame. Stir continuously and let it reduce to about half its volume. This may take around 20-30 minutes. Once it thickens, add the grated Mawa and mix well.
2. Add Sugar and Cream:
Once the Mawa is well incorporated, add the sugar and condensed milk. Stir until fully dissolved. Then, add the cream and mix until smooth.

3. Spices and Nuts:
Add the cardamom powder, chopped nuts, and saffron strands, if using. Allow the mixture to cool a bit.
4. Pour into Molds:
Once cooled, pour the mixture into ice cream molds or a loaf pan. Tap gently to remove any air bubbles.
5. Freeze:
Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the freezer. Let it freeze for at least 6-8 hours, or until completely set.
6. Serve:
To serve, remove the kulfi from the molds. You can dip the molds in warm water for a few seconds to make removal easier. Garnish with additional chopped nuts if desired and enjoy!
Tips:
- You can customize your kulfi by adding flavors like rose water or mango puree.
- If you don’t have Mawa, you can prepare it at home by cooking milk until it thickens, or use powdered milk as a substitute.
Enjoy your homemade Jalgaon Mawa Kulfi!
