Ingredients:
250 grams bottle gourd
100 grams of chickpea lentils
1 medium-sized chopped onion
2 medium-sized chopped tomatoes
3-4 chopped garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves
1-2 tablespoons oil
Water as needed

Instructions:
First, soak the chana dal for at least 30-35 minutes.
Peel the bottle gourd and cut it into small pieces.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafoetida and fry.
Add chopped garlic and lightly fry. Then add chopped onion and fry until translucent.
Add tomatoes and mix well. After 2 minutes, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt to taste. Mix everything well.
Now add the chopped bottle gourd and soaked chana dal and mix well. Add 2 cups of water and mix well. You can adjust the amount of water if desired.
Cook in the pressure cooker for 5 whistles, then turn off the heat. The Dudhi and Chana dal Curry is ready.
When cool, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with phulka roti.
