Ingredients:

1 cup ghee

1 cup jaggery

1 1/2 cups wheat flour

1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios) (optional)

A few dry rose petals

 

Gujarati Style Perfect Sukhadi 


Instructions:

First, heat the ghee in a pan. Add the wheat flour and stir.

Cook the wheat flour over medium heat until it changes color.

When the wheat flour turns biscuit-like, add the jaggery and stir.

Now, cook the jaggery over low heat until it melts. Once the jaggery has melted slightly, add the chopped nuts and cardamom powder and mix.

Turn off the heat. Grease a plate or mold with ghee or oil, pour the Sukhdi mixture into it, and let it cool.

Once it's cooled completely, cut it into squares or diamonds as needed and serve. Once it's dry, it's ready. You can store it in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
