Ingredients:


Half a cup of basmati rice

Half a cup of frozen or fresh peas

1 star anise

2 green cardamoms

2-3 cloves

4-5 black peppercorns

1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon of ghee

1 cup of water


                 Easy & Instant Matar Pulao

Instructions:

First, wash the basmati rice with clean water and soak it for 15 minutes.

Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, star anise, green cardamom, black peppercorns, and cloves and stir.

Add the green peas and stir. Add salt to taste and stir.

Add a cup of water and bring to a boil. Then, drain the excess water from the soaked rice and add it to the pan. Mix everything well and cook over low-medium heat for 10 minutes.

Finally, this easy and quick Matar Pulao is ready. You can make it and serve it for lunch or dinner.


Note:

You can also make this pulao in a pressure cooker. Follow the same method and cook over low-medium heat for 2 whistles.
