Moong Dal Chilla | Moong Dal Chilla | Moong Dal Chilla Recipe | As soon as we hear the name of Moong Dal Cheela, we think how delicious it will be to eat. Apart from being delicious in taste, it is a very healthy chilla (Moong Dal Cheela) that is rich in protein. Apart from this, you can also add vegetables of your choice to it. If you want, you can also add paneer to it. So, let's know about the method of making it (Moong Dal Cheela).
Ingredients:
1 cup yellow moong dal
1-2 green chilies
1 inch ginger
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
A pinch of asafoetida
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped carrot
1/2 cup finely grated cabbage
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup grated paneer
3-4 tbsp oil for frying

Instructions:
- Put moong dal in a bowl and add 1-2 cups of water and soak for 2-3 hours.
- Now in another bowl, add grated paneer, onion, carrot, cabbage and some salt and mix. Now, drain the excess water from the soaked dal and add cumin seeds, green chilies and ginger to it and grind it in the mixer to make a fine paste.
- Now take it out in a bowl. If needed, add 2-3 tbsp water and mix. Now add asafoetida, turmeric powder and salt to it and mix well.
- Now, take a non-stick pan and heat it on a medium flame. Now pour half a tablespoon of oil on it and spread it.
- Now take the moong dal mixture with the help of a ladle and spread it lightly on the pan. (like dosa)
- Now take the paneer mixture on it and spread it. Press well with a spoon.
- Now when the chillas become light golden brown, flip them and cook on the other side as well.
- Now when the chillas are cooked from both sides, take them out in a plate. Follow the same process for the rest of the chillas and prepare all the chillas.
- Now, your moong dal chillas are ready to serve. Serve them hot. You can serve them for breakfast or dinner as well.
