Instructions:

How to make the chilies:

Wash, deseed, and finely chop the green chilies. You can also grind them coarsely to make the halwa smooth.

Fry the chilies:

Heat ghee in a pan. Add the chopped chilies and fry over medium-low heat for 6–8 minutes, until the raw aroma subsides and the chilies soften.

Add Khoya (optional):

If using, add crumbled khoya and cook for 2-3 minutes, until it combines with the chilies.

To sweeten:

Add sugar and a pinch of salt. The mixture will become slightly watery. Cook, stirring frequently, until it thickens again (about 7-10 minutes).

For flavor:

Add cardamom powder, lemon juice (if using), raisins, and half of the chopped nuts. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Garnish and serve:

Garnish with the remaining nuts. Serve hot or at room temperature.

Note:

If you want a less spicy halwa, choose mild chilies.

Adjust the sugar and ghee to your taste.

Khoya enhances the flavor, but it is optional.

Enjoy this unique and delicious green chili halwa!
