Ingredients:

2 cups poha

1 cup boiled potatoes

½ tsp cumin seeds

A pinch of asafoetida

1 tbsp green chilli and ginger-garlic paste

1.5 cups chopped vegetables (cabbage, sweet corn, capsicum, onion, carrot, green peas)

½ tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

½ tsp coriander, cumin powder

¼ pav bhaji masala/chaat masala

Salt to taste

2-3 tbsp cornflour

Water as required

2 tsp sesame seeds

Oil for frying


 Poha Cutlet 


Instructions:

First of all, wash the poha 2-3 times and keep it aside. The poha should be slightly wet.

Heat oil in a pan. Then add asafoetida and cumin seeds and let them crackle. After this, add green chilli and ginger-garlic paste and fry.

Now add all the chopped vegetables and fry for 5 minutes. Now add turmeric powder, coriander cumin powder, red chili powder, pav bhaji masala and salt as per taste and mix well. Turn off the gas and let it cool.

Now when the mixture cools down, add 2 teaspoons of corn flour and mix. This will make it easier to make cutlets. After mixing well, make small balls of it. You can shape it as per your wish. Now sprinkle sesame seeds on it lightly. Prepare all the cutlets one by one in the same way.

Now heat oil in a pan to fry the cutlets. Fry it till it becomes golden brown. Fry all the cutlets in the same way.


Keep the gas flame medium or low so that it gets cooked till the end.


There you go, your poha cutlet is ready. You can eat it with tomato sauce, green chutney, tamarind chutney or date chutney.
