Firstly take wheat flour, Add salt, carom seeds, baking soda, semolina and ghee and mix well. Now add lukewarm water little by little and make a hard dough. Now knead it well and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.

Take a large vessel and heat it on high flame by adding water to it. Now knead the dough once again. Now make medium sized balls of it. After making all the balls, put them in boiling water. Let them cook on high flame for a maximum of 15-20 minutes or till the baffles float in the water.

After 15-20 minutes, check one baffle with a knife or toothpick. If it comes out clean, then the baffles are cooked. If not cooked, let it cook for 2-3 more minutes.

Now take out all the baffles in a sieve and drain all the excess water. Now take them out in a plate and put them in a pressure cooker and cook them till they turn light golden brown. Now prepare all the Baflas in the same way.

To make Daal:

Now add toor dal and 2 cups of water in a pressure cooker and cook on high flame till 2-3 whistles. Now turn off the gas.

Now heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves and let them crackle. After this, add green chilies and garlic and fry. After this add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder and salt and mix everything well.

Now add boiled daal to it and mix well. Change the thickness of the daal according to your choice. Boil it once on high flame and then let it cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes.

Now heat 1 tbsp oil/ghee in a small pan. Then add dry Kashmiri red chili and Kashmiri red chili powder and fry lightly and pour it over the daal. Mix well and finally garnish with coriander leaves.
