Litti Chokha Recipe | Easy Litti Chokha Recipe | Bihari Litti Chokha Recipe | Bihari Litti Chokha | How to Make Litti Chokha | Baati Chokha Recipe | Litti Chokha (Litti Chokha Recipe) is a traditional and popular Bihari dish. It (Litti Chokha Recipe) is made with wheat flour, Baati, and Sattu stuffing. It is nutritious and rich in protein. You can make it for lunch or dinner. Ingredients:


For Litti:

- 2 cups wheat flour

- 1/2 cup sattu (roasted gram flour)

- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)

- 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped

- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

- 1/2 tsp carom seeds

- 1 tsp cumin seeds

- 2 tbsp mustard oil (or any oil)

- salt to taste

- water (as required for dough)


For Chokha:

- 2-3 medium sized brinjals/eggpplants

- 2-3 medium sized tomatoes

- 2-3 medium sized boiled potatoes

- 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped

- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 2 tbsp mustard oil

- fresh coriander leaves, chopped

- salt Taste


 The Traditional Recipe of Bihar Litti Chokha 


Instructions:

Prepare Litti:

1. Add wheat flour, a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of oil in a bowl and mix well.

2. Add water gradually and make a soft dough. Cover it and keep it aside for 30 minutes.

3. In another bowl, mix the sattu with chopped onions, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, ajwain, cumin seeds, mustard oil and salt. Add some water if needed to bind the mixture.

4. Divide the dough into equal portions. Roll each portion into a round shape, place a spoonful of sattu mixture in the centre and fold the edges to seal. Shape it into a ball.

5. Preheat the oven or tandoor. Bake or cook the littis until golden brown. You can also fry them if you want.


Prepare Chokha:

1. Roast the eggplants on an open flame or in the oven until their skins char. Let them cool, then peel and mash them.

2. Boil the potatoes until soft, then peel and mash them.

3. Add the mashed eggplants, potatoes and chopped tomatoes in a bowl. Mix well.

4. Add chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, mustard oil and salt to taste. Mix everything well.

5. Serve the hot littis with chokha. You can also drizzle some ghee over the littis to enhance the taste. Or you can dip it in hot ghee and serve with green chutney or onions. Enjoy your delicious litti chokha!
