Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the gram flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
2. Add the sweet potato slices (or grated sweet potato), onion, green chilies, and fresh coriander leaves to the flour mixture.
3. Gradually add water, a little at a time, mixing until you have a thick batter that coats the sweet potatoes well. The batter should not be too thin.
4. Heat oil in a deep-frying pan over medium heat.
5. Once the oil is hot, drop small portions of the batter-coated sweet potatoes into the oil using a spoon. Fry in batches; do not overcrowd the pan.
6. Fry the fritters, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per batch).
7. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain off excess oil.
8. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
Enjoy your crispy sweet potato fritters!
