2. Now add ½ cup curd and start kneading the dough. Add water as required and keep kneading for 5 minutes. You can also use lukewarm water here.

3. Now add 2 tbsp of oil and knead till the dough becomes smooth and soft. Cover and keep aside for 1 hour or more.

4. After 1 hour, knead the dough again and make sure the dough is soft.

5. Take a ball-sized dough and apply flour on it. Roll gently, make sure the roti is a little thick. Garnish it with black sesame seeds or coriander leaves.

6. Heat a tawa and now sprinkle some water. Place the roti on the tawa. Press gently, so that the roti sticks to the tawa.

7. Cook for a minute or till the roti puffs up and the base is cooked. Small blisters will form on it while cooking.

8. Now flip the pan and turn it upside down and cook the coriander or black sesame side of the roti on the gas. Don't worry if some black spots appear. This gives a tandoor-like effect. Remove the roti and place it on a serving plate.

9. Finally, apply butter on the tandoori roti and enjoy it with your favorite vegetable.
