Schezwan Frankie is a popular Indian street food wrap filled with spicy vegetables and tangy sauces, wrapped in a soft roti or paratha. Here is an easy homemade recipe:


Ingredients:


For Frankie:

 4 whole wheat rotis or parathas

 2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed

 1/2 cup mixed bell peppers, thinly sliced

 1/4 cup onions, thinly sliced

 1/4 cup cabbage, shredded

 2 tablespoons Schezwan sauce (store-bought or homemade)

 1 teaspoon chaat masala

 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

 Salt to taste

 Oil for cooking


For Garnish:

 2 tablespoons chopped coriander

 Lemon wedges


 Homemade Schezwan Potato Wrap 


Instructions:


1. Prepare the filling:

- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan. Add the onions and sauté until softened.

- Add the bell peppers and cabbage, and sauté for 2 minutes.

- Add the boiled potatoes, Schezwan sauce, chaat masala, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.


2. Heat the rotis/parathas:

- Heat each roti/paratha on a pan until warm and slightly crispy.


3. Assemble the frankie:

- Place one roti/paratha flat on a plate.

- Spread a little Schezwan sauce in the center.

- Add a portion of the prepared filling. * Sprinkle with chopped coriander and squeeze some lemon juice over it.

- Roll it up tightly to make a wrap.

- Repeat with the remaining rotis and filling.


4. Serve:

- Serve hot, with extra Schezwan sauce or ketchup on the side.


Tips:

- You can add paneer or cheese for variation.

- Adjust the spice level according to your taste.

- For a crispier texture, toast the wrapped frankie on a pan with a little oil.
