(Shrikhand Recipe), the most famous sweet of Gujarat and Maharashtra. It is
made specially on many festivals in Western India. The main ingredients
to make it are curd, sugar and cardamom. It takes less time and fewer ingredients to make it. So, let's know the complete recipe of making Shrikhand |
Kesar Shrikhand.
Ingredients:
2 cups curd
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Dry fruits (cashews, almonds, pistachios), finely chopped
1-2 tbsp chocolate chips
Some saffron strands
2-3 tbsp milk

Instructions:
First, make Dahi Chakka. For this, keep a strainer in a large bowl and spread a muslin cloth on it.
Now, heat the milk lightly and soak the saffron in it for
some time.
Now pour the curd on a muslin cloth. Make a small pouch of it and keep it in the fridge overnight or for 7-8 hours. Keep in mind that we do not have to use sour curd here. This will make the Shrikhand too sour.

After 7-8 hours, when the water is completely separated from the curd, take it out in a bowl. Now whisk it well.
After this, add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, and nuts and mix well.
Now add saffron milk and mix well. Now you can decorate it with chocolate chips. This is optional, add if you like.

Keep it in the fridge for 1-2 hours before serving or let it cool down, so that it sets well.
There you go, your saffron Shrikhand is ready. You must try
puri and potato curry with it. The combination of these three is very tasty.
You can serve it as a dessert in lunch or dinner.
