Homemade Cheese Paratha Recipe

Instructions:

1. Prepare the dough:

* In a bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.

2. Prepare the filling:

* In another bowl, combine the grated cheese, onion, green chilies, coriander, cumin powder, chili flakes, and a little salt. Mix well.

3. Shape the parathas:

* Divide the dough into equal portions. Roll each portion into a small circle (about 4 inches).

* Place 1-2 tablespoons of the cheese filling in the center. Bring the edges together and seal to form a ball.

* Gently flatten the filled ball and roll it into a flat circle (about 6-7 inches), being careful not to tear the paratha.

4. Cook the parathas:

* Heat a griddle or pan over medium heat. Place the rolled paratha on the hot griddle.

* Cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles start to appear, then flip it over. Apply a little ghee or oil on top. * Flip and apply ghee/oil to the other side as well. Cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides.

5. Serving:

* Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or ketchup.

Tips:

* Use processed cheese for a gooey center, or mix with paneer for a lighter filling.

* Adjust spices according to your taste.

* The dough should be soft for easy rolling.
