This recipe is easy to make and perfect for comfort food.


Ingredients:

250g pasta (penne, fusilli, macaroni, or your choice)

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)


Restaurant-Style Cheesy Pasta at Home 


Instructions:

Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the flour and cook for 1 minute to make a roux (do not brown).

Gradually whisk in the milk, making sure there are no lumps. Cook and stir until the mixture thickens slightly (about 3-4 minutes).

Reduce the heat to low. Add the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese (if using). Stir until melted and smooth.

Add the salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using).

Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and toss to coat well.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley or basil if desired.
