Ingredients:

 500 grams button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and sliced

 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

 4 cloves garlic, minced

 1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)

 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (optional)

 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese

 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Homemade Cheesy Mushroom Recipe 


Instructions:

1. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Melt the butter until it starts to foam.

2. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (do not burn).

3. Add the mushrooms and stir to coat them well in the butter and garlic. Add the salt, pepper, and Italian herbs if using.

4. Cook the mushrooms, stirring occasionally, for about 6-8 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender. Most of their liquid should have evaporated.

5. Sprinkle the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese evenly over the mushrooms. Cover the pan with a lid and let the cheese melt for 2-3 minutes.

6. Remove the lid, gently stir the cheese, and cook for another minute. 7. Remove from the heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately as a side dish or appetizer.
