Farali Dhokla | Vrat Ka Dhokla | Samak rice Dhokla | Sago Dhokla | Farali Dhokla Recipe in English | How to Make Farali Dhokla | You may have eaten many types of dhokla, but today we bring you Vrat Dhokla. It's made with sabudana and samak rice. It takes about the same amount of time to prepare as a regular dhokla. You can make it during any fast. Since Navratri fasts are underway, be sure to try this recipe and savor this delicious dhokla. Let's learn the complete method of making Vrat Dhokla.
Ingredients:
For Batter
1 cup samak rice
1/2 cup sago/sabudana
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup yogurt
1 tablespoon green chili and ginger paste
Black salt to taste
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon oil
For Tempering
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp jeera
a few curry leaves

Instructions:
First, grind the sabudana/sago and samak rice into a fine paste in a mixer grinder.
Now transfer them to a bowl. Add yogurt, ginger and green chili paste, black salt, sugar, oil, and water as needed to form a thick paste. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes.
Add baking soda and mix well.
Steam and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
Turn off the heat and check with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean, the dhokla is cooked; if not, cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Let it cool and cut it into squares or diamonds with a knife.
Now we will prepare the tempering. For this, heat oil in a pan.
Add cumin seeds and curry leaves, and fry them. Now pour this mixture over the prepared dhokla.
Our Special Fasting Dhokla is ready. Serve it hot with fast-friendly coconut chutney.
