It is made like a delicious mixture of bottle gourd, full-fat milk, and sugar. If some dry fruits are added to it, then its taste increases even more. Ingredients:
500-gram bottle gourd
4 tbsp ghee
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup khoya (Grated)
Chopped dry fruits (cashews, almonds, pistachios, raisins)
1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions:
First of all, peel the bottle gourd and wash it. Now grate it from all sides. Remove the middle part with the seed. After this, squeeze out all the water from the grated bottle gourd.
After this, heat ghee in a pan. Now add the grated bottle gourd and fry it well. Fry on low flame for at least 10 minutes.
Now add grated khoya so that it blends well. You can also use milk instead of khoya.
When the khoya is blended well, add sugar to it and mix everything well. Let it cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes. Keep stirring in between so that it does not stick to the flame.
When ghee starts separating from it, add cardamom powder and chopped nuts and mix well. Let it cook for 2 more minutes.
Finally, lauki ka halwa is ready. You can serve it hot or cold.
