Ingredients

3 cups vanilla ice cream

⅔ cup full-cream milk

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

Take the ice cream directly out of the freezer—keep it as hard as possible so the milkshake turns out thick.

Add the ingredients to the blender in this order: first the milk, then the vanilla extract, and finally the ice cream.

Blend on high speed for at least 1 minute.

Once it becomes thick and creamy, pour it into two tall glasses and top with whipped cream and sprinkles of your choice. Serve immediately.


Tips for Making the Perfect Shake:

Spend a little extra on good-quality ice cream—quality makes a huge difference.

Use pure vanilla extract, not imitation vanilla. It significantly enhances the vanilla flavor.

You will need about ⅔ cup of milk—just enough to allow the ingredients to blend easily, but not so much that the taste of the milk overpowers the flavor of the ice cream. Full-cream milk yields the creamiest milkshake.

If you want to make the milkshake even thicker, add a little more ice cream. If it becomes too thick, add a little more milk to suit your taste.

For an even better experience, chill the glasses in the freezer beforehand.

Never add ice—it will melt and dilute the shake.


Another way to boost the flavor: Adding a spoonful of malted milk powder or powdered milk gives the milkshake an extra creaminess, making it taste even more fantastic.
